Wow! It’s been over a week since I last posted. I’ve never been this busy in my life! I’ve been putting in up to 90 hours a week at the job for the last month or so. We’ve had a huge project that just launched yesterday. That didn’t leave me any time to post. But it didn’t stop me from working out!… mostly. Here’s the recap.
Day 16 – Plyometrics
This was a late night workout. Started at 9pm. Still a good deal of energy. Successful workoutl
Day 17 – Shoulders and Arms
Another late workout. This is becoming normal for me. I still put in good numbers. Everything went up by a rep or two. See charts.
Day 18 – Yoga Fail
This day just had too much going on in it. Worked all day and night. It’s the day before the initial pilot of our program at work. No workout
Day 19 – Legs and Back
Had to make up for the day before. Worked out when I got home. Still put in some great numbers. After my workout, I went to the <gasp> bar! The Byron Nelson golf tournament was in town and just down the road from my place. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go out and see the sights of all the drunk dancing fancy-dressed ladies. I payed for it in beer.
Day 20 – Class Reunion
I woke up late today after a long night out on the town. I had to get to Tulsa for a class reunion that evening, which is a 5 hour drive away. So again, no workout. I skipped Kenpo. Had some snack foods at the reunion and some beer. Some is an understatement. I should I was drinking beer until 6am. The reunion went very well, however. This is my first time seeing everyone since I started P90X or dropped a lot of weight. I got a lot of compliments which made me feel great!
Day 21 – Very Hungover Drive Home.
Day 22 – Back on Track
The scale wasn’t impacted much from the loose weekend. I did try to keep a watch on what I ate. I got home in plenty of time the day before to get a good amount of protein in anticipation of today’s workout. I had forgotten that it was my rest week. So I did fountain of youth yoga. Nice and calm.
Day 23 – Core Synergistics
Not as hard as I remember it! I worked out hard, don’t get me wrong, but I seem to remember panting a lot more the last time I did it. My shoulders were the first thing to give up during workout. Holding those chatarunga poses was really burning. I even did the Dreya rolls!
Day 24 – Kenpo Cardio X
Day 25 – Rest Day.
I had to take my rest day this day instead of Sunday. It’s the invite-only day of our program at work and there are lots of fires to put out. No time to workout.
Day 26 – Resting Stretch
Today I did my own stretches. Most of them were from the video, some of them were not. I just sat in front of the TV catching up on some recorded shows and stretching. I needed that.
