Kenpo day always feels like a rest day. There’s not a whole lot of intensity in this workout, at least not for me. The only thing that made it challenging was the soreness from the previous day’s workout!
Surprise, surprise. The legs and back routine from Friday leaves me nice and sore for Kenpo. It’s pretty slow getting started, but once the blood gets flowing, the soreness really isn’t an issue. Mostly it’s the butt soreness in the standing leg during side and back kicks.
In the past, I had switched out the regular Saturday Kenpo X workout with the Kenpo Cardio Plus workout from the P90X+ series. It’s much more intense and provides a cardio workout (hence the name). For now, I’ll stick with the original and work on my fundementals.
