Today began the sore throat and sinus issues. I think I’m going to take a pass on any kind of lifting today. I’ve read in the past whether it’s best to workout when you’re sick or rest and let is pass. It seems to just come down to whatever you feel is best. It’s true that adrenaline can help fight away the bad stuff, but if the bad stuff is bad enough, you’re just weakening your body further.
My workout efforts are not going anywhere any time soon, so I’m just going to hit pause. I’ve been concerned with some other issues such as my plantar fasciitis flaring up something fierce and that bone pain I mentioned earlier. I think this is a good week to just give it a rest. If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past year of intense workouts is to NOT fight through that kind of pain. There’s the good pain, the kind you can feel your muscles are taking a beating and they like it! And then there’s the bad pain. The sharp “What the hell was that” pain or the “way down deep something’s rubbing on something else that it shouldn’t be rubbing on” pain.
Today I did Kenpo Cardo X again. Nice easy exercise. Still getting the heart rate up without any stress.
