Since the Warrior Dash is only a month a way, I’m putting an effort into running during the week so that I’m not lapped by two waves in the Muddy Mayhem or pushed into the Warrior Roast fire! Since Plyo is essentially a legs and cardio routine, I figure this is the best candidate for substitution. I wanted to post my running stats like last time, but the Runkeeper app was giving me problems. That’s not fair, it was more of an operator error. You, I haven’t gone to the effort of setting up playlists for running music, so I just started up a shuffle of all the songs and then started up RunKeeper. When the next song turns out to be Nickelback (I swear I don’t know how it got there!), I must change the song. Well in order to do that, I need to tap the home button back on the iPhone to bring up the ipod controls. If you don’t do it fast enough, however, you get sent back to the home screen.
I thought I had recovered from it and started the logging again, but apparently I hadn’t. My total run consisted of 2.25 minutes at 8.5 minutes/mile. That’s a pretty good pace, though I doubt I kept it up!
It was another 80 degree windy easy run. I was running nearly the entire 3 miles, but I wasn’t pushing it to hard as it’s still only the second run of the year. No need of hurting myself too much. Now I sit here rolling my foot on an ice bottle to keep the plantar fasciitis in check.
