I’m glad it’s time for new exercises as I was starting to get in a routine with the first round. When I start to get a routine, I get efficient at doing the exercises. When I get efficient, I can do the lifts without as much effort. I want the effort!
Today was Chest and Shoulders. This is a fun workout. A few things I noticed.
- I couldn’t do any One Arm Push-ups from my toes. Could before!
- I could do more clap push-ups than in the past!
- Slow motion push-ups are one hell of a workout!
- That rest week was really good for my abs!
At the end of week three, my abs just always felt exhausted. I wasn’t getting all the way up like I was when I started, even though I was doing more of them. Last week, the only real ab workouts were during yoga and Core Synergistic. None of the real burny burn routines. This week I got all the way into Heels to Heaven, or whatever that’s called, before I missed a rep! Rawr. Still didn’t get through the whole workout, but made a big step.
This will mark my first week using the original P90X Results and Recovery drink instead of some of the alternatives I’ve used. I’m interested in seeing how the increased amount of carbs works out.
