Alright, slacking too much during the summer. Barbeques, pool parties, 110+ degree heat has let me slack off a bit. A bit! I’ve still been at the gym nearly every day and I still run a lot, it’s just that the diet has been slacking.
Now’s the time to make another push. Starting next Monday I’ll be doing a round of P90X+ with just a few modifications. Mainly replacing Yoga X with Patience Hummingbird Yoga or Fountain of Youth Yoga.
It’s been a long time since I’ve incorporated workouts from the Plus series, so this should be a nice change of pace! I expect my numbers in pushups and pullups to have dropped significantly, even though I’ve been doing lat pulldowns and bench presses in the gym. It’s just not the same.
The rest of this week is going to be relaxing. I’m going to do a pool party up right and welcome pre-season football properly. I’ll be pre-cooking meat and dividing up snacks for the next week to make it as straight forward as possible.
Oh yeah, and I’m getting a puppy in 2 weeks! We’ll see how being a first time dad will affect my progress…
