If you’re watching the Legs and Back routing and trying to keep up with the people on the screen, you’re going to get thrown off. Specifically during some of the lung sequences. The guy that lives on a boat goes too fast on a lot of the exercises, and it looks like the editors have tried to splice it back together but failed. He’ll be coming up from a move and cut away and there are a couple of second in the future. Annoying, but whatever.
I was able to do most of the moves in this routine without pain. I was concerned about my recently inflamed groin going into today since there’s a lot of squats and lunges. I just took care on certain moves such as sneaky lunges and three way lunges. I tend to compensate by having that left leg angled out a bit more than the other side since it really only hurts when that leg is in tight.
My other point of concern was the arm pain I have mentioned before. It did flare up a bit about 3/4 of the way through, but it wasn’t terribly bad. Next week is going to be pull-up free, so that should be good. I wonder if it’s not actually a bone pain, but a tendon on top of the bone. I think I’m going to try not squeezing the bar so hard. I tend to squeeze, grit my teeth and make constipation faces during pull-ups.
When I wasn’t bitching about the pain, the workout went really well. I busted out the full length mirror this week and it forces me to go down further in those squats. My pull-up numbers are also up by a good 20% over the last workout.
