I also changed my pull-up form this time. I haven’t been coming up from a full hang most of the time. I’m using the pull-up bar in the doorway and normally just go down enough to mostly extend my arms, tap my feet to keep from swinging and back up. It’s almost a full extension, but doesn’t have that awkward part of what feels like “rolling” over that join in your shoulder on the way up. That feels funny to me and tonight produced all kind of interesting pops and crackles. Time will tell if that’s worth continuing.
That change in form has severely reduced my pull-up count. It’s a bit of a mental blow not seeing that nice big number up there, but it’s all for the greater good!
All in all I’m feeling great this week! I just feel stronger. Having that bit of soreness in every big just makes me notice my own muscles and I tend to walk straighter and taller. This is why I do this!
