I felt more focused going into today’s workout because I had targets to shoot for. Those targets are the rep numbers I entered for last week. Going in to the workout last week was great for setting the base line, but without a number to try to hit, it was easy to just punk out when it got rough.
This time I crushed last week’s numbers! Once I’ve got that number set it in my head, I know I can hit it. And generally I can add a few on top. It’s amazing how much having a number in your head can make a difference. On those times I look at the wrong row and see a 9 when I should have had a 12, that last 9 and 10 seem extra hard.
Mind over matter!
Oh, and, uh… Ab Ripper! 2/3 of the way through this time. Getting there!
