As I’m sure you’re aware, I didn’t do Yoga yesterday. Egads! No, not because “ew yoga is boring and long and hard and I don’t wanna”, but because I’ve got some pain deep in my right shoulder socket and some fun fitness stuff just wasn’t in the cards. Downward dogs were just not going to work out and moving my arm out forward then overhead is what hurt the most.
So here I am feeling out out of sorts on Friday. To ease my conscience, I head over to LA Fitness during my lunch break and hit the elliptical during lunch. AT little 300 calorie workout mid-day doesn’t hurt!
Of course that was just the warm-up for the real workout, Legs and Back! This workout is always an ass-kicker for me. Despite two calls during the workout, I kicked it’s ass instead! Everything I did had the added weight option and I didn’t have any pain from the pull-ups. That’s not because my shoulder doesn’t hurt anymore, but just because the hanging movement doesn’t seem to aggravate it. Switch-grip pull-ups, however, aggravate me to no end. And it’s not unlikely that I’ll skip them as the last workout in frustration. Woops!
As for the abs… I’m really glad that this is the last Ab Ripper X for a while. Next week will be lots of core work, but nothing that’s just busting my gut like this video. I need the next week to get over the constant fatigue I’ve got going on there. I’m anticipating being able to finish the entire workout by week 5.
What do you think? Can I finish it after some rest?
