Today day is my first day back after taking a week off. Well, mostly off. You see, last week I got sick. It started off just feeling a little bit peckish and decided to start one day late; The next day I felt worse. The illness combined with some pains that were starting to concern me such as bone pain and a flare-up of plantar fasciitis made me decide to just take the time to get better instead of trying to sweat it out. I really didn’t have the energy. I spend the week doing cardio workouts about every other day. I did Kenpo Cardio X as my cardio.
This week it’s back to the grind. I’m back on my doubles routine. I did my Cardio X this morning and had my first audience for a few minutes of it until she headed off to work. I look super cool doing Wacky Jacks. No doubt about it!
Since I just put the routine on pause, it was effectively week 7 rather than the week 8 rest week. Chest, Shoulders and Triceps went pretty well. My numbers were mostly in line with what I was doing two weeks ago; Some a little higher, sore more in line with three weeks ago. No problem, still a great workout.
Ab ripper hurts too! I believe that’s more of the “old” kicking in. Doing the In and Outs and bicycles really hurts the ligament in my groin. At least I think that’s what it is. I did about 10 of the In and Outs today before I nice pop and a stab of pain. I decided I would skip those two and pick up from there. Groin pain just doesn’t seem to go away easily. It takes a long time and a lot of TLC.
